Founder’s Profile
Md. Mahbubur Rahman is a seasoned civil engineering professional with over 10 years of practical experience in construction, cost estimation, and project management.
He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Construction Management at North South University, with a strong academic focus on modern construction practices, cost control, and project feasibility analysis.
Professionally, he has extensive expertise in BOQ preparation, rate analysis, project feasibility studies, and public & private sector tender documentation. His professionally prepared BOQs have successfully contributed to major PGCB (Power Grid Company of Bangladesh) projects through reputed firms such as Alam & Khan Co. and CEEL, involving projects valued at approximately BDT 155 crore.
Previously, he served as a Cost Engineer at TBEA. In addition, he actively works as a freelance consultant, providing BOQ and rate analysis services for PWD and LGED projects, supporting contractors and organizations with accurate, compliant, and cost-effective documentation.
He completed an IDB–IT Scholarship on AutoCAD (2D & 3D), MS Project, Revit, and Photoshop over a 12-month duration, gaining strong practical exposure alongside academic grounding. Leveraging this experience, he founded Skill Civil with the mission of transferring real-world engineering knowledge to the next generation of civil engineers—focusing on skills that build professional value, confidence, and earning capability.
Shoaib Ahmed Tonmoy is a civil engineering professional with strong academic credentials and extensive experience in government tendering, e-GP systems, and infrastructure project documentation.
He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Disaster Risk Reduction Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), reflecting advanced academic strength in resilient and risk-informed infrastructure planning. He completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST) and is a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
Professionally, he specializes in government and semi-government tender management, with hands-on experience in e-GP and manual tendering processes for major public sector organizations including BWDB, DPDC, BREB, and LGED, following OTM, One-Envelope, Two-Envelope, and CPTU procedures.
Currently serving as an Assistant Manager (Tender & Business Development) at NK Group: Civil & Electrical Engineering Ltd., he is responsible for tender planning, BOQ preparation, feasibility analysis, EPC documentation, and cost-profit analysis, ensuring full compliance and commercial competitiveness.
